Owls set to face off against SUNY Niagara in Opening Round of NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship
Danville, IL- The Oakland Community College men's basketball team is set to face off against the 16 seed, SUNY Niagara County Community College in the opening round of the 2025 NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship on Monday, March 17th at 11am CT.
Taking a look at how the teams stack up, the Owls come in with a 23-8 record on the year with a 9-5 record in conference, which earned them a 3rd place finish in the MCCAA East Standings. The Thunder Wolves boast a 25-6 record with a conference record of 5-1, which was good enough to give them a share of 1st place in the WNYAC.
With a deeper look into both of these teams, in 31 games, the Owls averaged 82.3 points per game, shot 45.4% from the field, 34.2% from three, 74% from the line, averaged 38.4 rebounds a game, and 17.3 assists in each contest. With a win against SUNY Niagara tomorrow, the Owls would face off against the #1 seed Pima Community College on Tuesday, March 18th at 11am CT.
