Women's basketball splits at Skipper Holiday Classic

Port Huron, MI- Women's basketball took a quick trip East over the weekend as they participated in The Skipper Holiday Classic.

The Owls ended up going 1-1 in the classic, with a 86-50 win over Glen Oaks and an 88-78 loss against Milwaukee Area Tech.

The sophomores led the way for the Owls against Glen Oaks, as Lizzy Liedel dropped a game high 26 points in the contest to go along with 4 rebounds and 5 steals. Mackenzie Stein also contributed on her end by logging 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Saturday's tilt against Milwaukee Area Tech was highly contested, with the Owls going into the half with a 7 point lead but were unable to hang on in the end. Lizzy Liedel had a team high 23 points as well as 5 rebounds, while Mackenzie Stein provided 13 points and 3 rebounds in the losing effort.

The Owls hold a 6-4 record thus far, and look to add to the win total this week as they welcome in the Edison State Chargers on Thursday, December 12^th. Game time is at 5:30pm
