Owls gear up for Conference play against Jackson
The MCCAA opens up conference play across the league this Saturday and the Owls are ready for the challenge.
After ending the non-conference schedule with a 6-7 record, the women are looking to take their high scoring offense into league play. They currently lead the conference in scoring as they average a whopping 92.9 points per game while shooting 36.3% from the field.
Leading the way for the Owls is their sharpshooting Sophomore guard, Liz Liedel. The leading scorer in the NJCAA Division II, Liedel is averaging a staggering 27.8 points per game, shooting 40.3% from the field and 31.9% from downtown and has been a driving force for the Owls thus far and looks to continue to propel this team moving forward.
The Owls welcome in Jackson College this Saturday to kick off the conference season at 1pm.
